Festive Fundraiser Supports Wounded Warriors Through the American Freedom Foundation
CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 2, 2012 – NMR Consulting (NMR), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, proudly announces its sponsorship of the American Small Business Coalition’s annual Holiday Charity Bash. This successful fundraising event supports America’s wounded and disabled veterans and their families.
“NMR is a veteran-minded company that knows the importance of our nation’s military personnel,” said David Garcia, NMR’s president and CEO. “We want to give back to those that have served our country. Sponsoring the ASBC Holiday Charity Bash helps us do that.”
As a 2012 Holiday Bash Crystal Bells Presenting Sponsor, NMR is supporting a yearly function that has raised nearly $30,000 since 2009. All event proceeds have been used to retrofit housing for injured and disabled veterans, fund education programs for the children of military families, and provide outpatient military care at naval medical centers.
This year’s event proceeds benefit the American Freedom Foundation, a non-profit public benefit corporation supporting U.S. military and their families through medical, rehabilitative and reintegration services for wounded warriors. The Foundation’s family services include mentoring and child education programs.
The Holiday Charity Bash will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2012, at the Iris Lounge in McLean, Va. The event’s guest bartenders, silent auction, and networking will bring the region’s government contracting community together in person and purpose at the start of the holiday season.
