How did you find NMR?

I was referred by my husband.

What is your job title at NMR? Describe what you do.

 I am a VTC Service Agent I

How long have you been with NMR?

5 months

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Dialing in the meetings and making the various points connect. I also enjoy when I get called to a room because something isn’t working properly. I can then troubleshoot and fix the error or bump it to a higher tech level.

What made you choose to work at NMR?

I felt like NMR was a great Company to work for because my husband is very hard to please and he loves working for NMR. I used to be jealous of his Qarrot points and every time he told me that his company gave him a gift and/or new swag, I’d always say (with my face real tight), “Oh, so what, good for you. My company never gives us anything!”

What are some other rewarding aspects of your job?

First and foremost, the people, I love my team. Our lead is always on point and very understanding in all situations. He’s even working on planning a team building event where we can have a bite and form deeper working relationships. Everyone is great at what they do and I believe we all function very well together. Even my HR liaison, Lionel, is amazingly responsive and sharp. He always knows what to do and how best to navigate all NMR processes. Since even before I got hired, he made the on-boarding process so simple. I said to myself, “man, if the company is anything like the HR, then I done hit the jackpot because this is the best HR I’ve ever dealt with.”

What are some job challenges that you face?

I look forward to the challenge of staying current and broadening my skill set as an AV Technician. Sometimes I will receive a trouble call and I am not familiar with the equipment in the room to solve the problem. Even with that, NMR is so helpful in offering the $5,000/year reimbursement for continued education. Not all companies are considerate enough to do that for their employees.

What makes NMR different from your past workplaces?

Honestly, NMR just has a pleasant “vibe” that exudes appreciation for its staff. In my opinion, that stems from the leadership. I truly believe that I work for/with real human beings and I’m treated like a human being. To me, that’s everything really. It’s hard for me to work for someone I can’t respect and I can’t respect someone who I feel doesn’t respect me. I always feel well taken care of by NMR. Also, before I started working here, I got a chance to attend an NMR dinner with my husband, where I was given an opportunity to meet the owner of the company. He was so humble and down to earth. I could tell that he was sincerely enjoying spending time with his staff and that meant a lot, even though I wasn’t an employee then. I also got a chance to meet Mickey at a few NMR functions and he is just so bubbly! He really brings the team together with his fun loving personality and I enjoy whenever he’s around.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Farming, music and multimedia production…yasss!!! I own and operate a media production company specializing in horticulture. With that comes with managing a ¼ acre urban farm and plant nursery. When I’m not trying to take over the world, one plant at a time, I’m trying to win souls for God with my Christian/Social Conscious raps!

Where is somewhere that you’ve never been but would love to go to?

I must visit Tibet so I can make, at least, one large mandala with Tibetan Monks before I leave this Earth!

Is there a hobby that you would like to try?

I’d like to try Parkour one day.

What song is currently on repeat?

“Prize Worth Fighting For” Jamie Kimmett. (Just say the word and I can sing it at an NMR function one day if needed ok. I’m just saying!)

Desert island, no internet. What 3 movies do you want downloaded to your phone?

Glory, the Matrix (the first one), and Space Balls.
