At NMR, we have over 11 years of experience providing innovative video tele-conferencing (VTC) solutions to ensure comprehensive Unified Communications (UC) for our customers. Our expertise in this domain has enabled us to deliver transformative results for our customers, helping them unlock the full potential of their communication and collaboration capabilities.

Addressing Siloed Communication Challenges

One of our customers recognized that many of their dispersed team's UC capabilities were siloed within their own agencies. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) was not integrated with their VTC options, and their VTC options were not integrated with tools like Skype, limiting their users' ability to connect to meetings via desktop phone, cell phone, and/or VTC endpoints. To address this, NMR recommended that all communication and collaboration tools should be integrated and communicate with each other, while meeting all cybersecurity requirements.

Implementing a Unified VoIP and VTC Solution

In support of this goal, and at the request of our customer, NMR completed a project that implemented VoIP and VTC in a unified manner, allowing voice and video to participate in conferences together. This represented a turning point for the customer, as the success of this project could result in dramatic savings if implemented across the enterprise.

Consolidating AV/VTC and Telephony Systems

To address this requirement, the Customer consolidated their AV/VTC and telephony systems under the Cisco Unified Call Architecture. In partnership with NMR, the customer was able to integrate their legacy VTC architecture with telephony, leveraging Cisco Jabber for classified and unclassified communications.

Unlocking the Potential of Integrated Collaboration

By integrating desktop collaboration tools and VTC functions, the Customer was able to replace expensive desktop units and small conference rooms with the cost of a license for collaboration tools such as Jabber. This not only resulted in significant cost savings but also enabled their teams to collaborate more effectively, regardless of their location or device.
