How did you find NMR?

A former colleague of mine heard about the position and thought it would be a great fit for me. She sent me the job posting and contact person’s email address, and I applied.  

What is your job title at NMR? Describe what you do.

Customer Care Training Team, Outreach Specialist. I create outreach communications in collaboration with the Customer CIO, that are disseminated to the Customer's audience, from email communications to outreach campaigns that include graphics and instructional products.

How long have you been with NMR?

One year

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I get great satisfaction in being on a dedicated, supportive team with the other customer care training teammates, and feeling like I am appreciated and valued by our customers. I like being able to use my writing and creative skills to problem solve, and deliver quality products, and ultimately play a role in our nation’s defense. 

What made you choose to work at NMR?

I was impressed right away by the people-focus at NMR. Working for a company with a supportive, balanced, engaging, people-focused culture was top-priority for me, and I found that right away in NMR.  

What are some job challenges that you face?

Being fairly new to the contract, I’m still learning names and terminology. Everyone has been super helpful and I am happy to learn new things daily.  

 What makes NMR different from your past workplaces?

Hands down, it’s the culture of positivity, work-life balance, support, and well-being for every employee. I appreciate the team-building events, the gym membership to encourage wellness, and the friendly, open door policy of our leadership.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? 

I love spending time with my husband, Chris, our 2-year old son, Dillon, and our poodle fur baby, Bo. As a mom of a toddler, I love running around with him as he explores the world, but also love “me” time going on nature walks and reading. My husband and I also love designing and renovating homes, and are in the middle of renovating our new home in Huntsville. 

Where is somewhere that you’ve never been but would love to go to?

Bali 

Is there a hobby that you would like to try?

 I like yoga but am not very good ;) That’s something I would love to do better…for mind and body.

What song is currently on repeat?

Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round! Lol. Again, toddler mom. Justin Timberlake’s new song, “Selfish.”
